It may seem that introverts, by their nature, are only suited to a few types of occupations. But that's not the case. Why is it profitable for companies to employ introverts?

Everyone imagines the ideal employee differently. But one thing is certain. For most of the jobs employers represent rather a person of a more extroverted nature. That is, someone who has no problem communicating with people and who is rather open. Introverts also have their advantages when it comes to employment. And there are not a few of them.

Introverts are generally spoken of as people who draw energy from their inner world. They do not like small talk and overplayed sharing personal information. Companionship and more external stimuli can exhaust introverts.

On the other hand, introverts like deep debates and peace of mind. They tend to have a talent for creative activities - not only artistic, but also scientific.

Although a quieter colleague who does not say much and does not attend corporate parties may seem like a hostile person who you definitely do not want in the team because he would disturb you corporate culture, look at it from the other side.

For which qualities do introverts make good employees and why should you employ them?

1. They have an analytical mindset

Extroverts, of course, have that too. However, the advantage of introverts is that they have more distance from the outside world. Introverts are excellent planners, they can propose and assess individual solutions in advance, and they manage to work well with texts and numbers.

2. They are persistent

Introverts excel at bringing work to a successful end. They are persistent and able to keep the idea even when things are not moving too fast. Introverts are not easily distracted by new stimuli.

3. Rather than talk, they write. And very good!

For an introvert, the written form of communication is much more comfortable than picking up the phone and making a call. An introvert can think through the message in advance in written speech. And for the recipient of the communication, the written form of the communication is often easier to understand. Never mind that introverts tend to be great creative mammals.

4. They are calm and with their calmness they “infect” others

In order for an introvert to work well and to recharge new energy, an introvert needs peace of mind. If he does not have one, he is nervous, irritable and tired. And with that, its productivity also decreases. However, if an introvert has favorable conditions for work, he can infect other colleagues with his calmness, who appreciate the calm atmosphere one hundred percent.

6. They listen and are empathetic

Introverts usually don't want to tell you much about themselves. He likes his privacy and does not tolerate protracted conversations about his personal life. However, when you come up with a problem you are behind him, he will be a great listener. Which refutes the prejudice that introverts don't make for a good corporate culture.

7th. They respect and are friendly

At work, introverts can be very good colleagues. Primarily because of the two points mentioned above. They respect other colleagues and are not in danger of roiling the waters. They are mainly concerned with a friendly and welcoming working environment.

So there really is no barrier to employing introverts. On the contrary. Thanks to the introverts on the team, your firm only to gain. And if you also give them peace of mind work, you'll be surprised how great colleagues introverts can be.
